Software Engineer in Test

TL;DR

Software Engineer in Test (JavaScript/TypeScript): Design and develop automated functional, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests for web applications and backend services supporting Paid Media operations with an accent on test automation frameworks and software testability. Focus on maintaining automation tools, conducting manual/product testing, and ensuring quality under Scrum processes.

Location: Nis, Serbia (hybrid, office at least 3 days a week)

International company developing web applications and backend services for Paid Media business using PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, Symfony, Laravel, AWS, and CloudFlare.

What you will do

• Perform manual and product testing to ensure software quality and performance
• Design and develop automated functional, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests
• Maintain automation test frameworks and tools
• Ensure testability of software in collaboration with engineering team

Requirements

• 2+ years in manual/product testing and basic browser automation (Playwright, WebDriverIO, Selenium or similar)
• Basic JavaScript, TypeScript or Java skills
• Good analytical skills, quick learning, and collaborative team communication
• Applications in English only

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools for test automation (Cursor, Copilot)
• Performance testing (K6)
• Gherkin/Behat, Postman testing
• Basic frontend/backend knowledge (JS ES6+, HTML/CSS, SQL, HTTP)
• Git experience
