TL;DR

Experienced Gameplay Programmer (Frontend): Design and implement gameplay systems and features for innovative games with an accent on performance, responsiveness, and visual polish. Focus on translating game design concepts into high-quality experiences, maintaining the internal game framework, and ensuring code quality through reviews and collaboration.

Location: On-site position in Stockholm, Sweden. No relocation or visa sponsorship assistance.

What you will do

  • Design and implement gameplay systems and features for new and existing games.
  • Translate game design concepts into responsive, high-quality gameplay experiences.
  • Collaborate with designers and product owners to iterate on gameplay and player experience.
  • Maintain and extend the internal game development framework.
  • Write clean, maintainable, high-performance code.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience, with several years in the game industry.
  • Strong experience with gameplay programming or interactive systems.
  • Experience with C#, C++, Haxe, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Strong focus on performance, responsiveness, and player experience.
  • Ability to take ownership of systems from concept to release.
  • Experience in cross-disciplinary teams with designers and artists.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have

  • Shader programming experience.
  • 3D programming experience, such as OpenGL.
  • Debugging experience.
  • Social gaming experience.
  • AI-assisted development experience.
