Security Engineer (Fintech)

Salary: $140,000/yr to $220,000/yr + Equity + Benefits

What you will do

• Own security end-to-end as DRI for policy, implementation, and enforcement across the company.
• Lock down sensitive mortgage data including SSNs, financial records, and employment history with encryption, access controls, and audits.
• Draft and enforce best practices for data handling, credentials, access, and incident response.
• Partner with infra engineers to integrate security into systems from the ground up.
• Build security culture through training, code reviews, and threat modeling for all engineers.

Requirements

• Deep experience in security engineering, especially with sensitive data protection.
• Strong skills in AWS IAM, security tooling, and network architecture.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, SQL (PostgreSQL), GraphQL, Temporal.io.
• High agency, ownership mindset, and track record of delivering without direction.
• Must be based in Palo Alto, CA.
