TL;DR

Soc Functional Validation Engineer: Defines, develops, and performs functional validation for integrated SoCs with an accent on IP integration, interactions between IPs, and system-level features. Focus on applying hardware/software tools for validation coverage, performance/power/area goals, silicon debug, and developing post-silicon infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid in Guadalajara, Mexico. Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship). Regular onsite presence required.

What you will do

• Define, develop, and execute functional validation for SoCs, including IP integration and system features.
• Apply hardware/software tools to ensure validation coverage and meet performance, power, area goals.
• Review design changes for impact on validation plans and timelines.
• Develop validation methodologies, test plans, and infrastructure; perform silicon debug and failure analysis.
• Test SoC feature interactions and collaborate with architecture, design, verification, and manufacturing teams.
• Engage across product lifecycle in simulation, emulation, FPGAs for silicon readiness.

Requirements

• Advanced English level required.
• Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (no visa sponsorship).
• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related.
• 5+ years experience: test plans, Linux/UNIX development, OOP in C/C++/C#/Perl/Python, hardware/system bring-up/silicon power-on.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree.
• 7+ years with RTL/hardware debug, Verilog, test automation, FPGA/emulation, firmware/software debug, PCIe, system clock/reset, lab equipment.
