Lead Data Engineer

TL;DR

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers with technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices.
• Own end-to-end data migration from Snowflake on AWS to Azure Databricks and DBT, including planning, execution, and optimization.
• Design and oversee scalable, secure data pipelines and cloud infrastructure using Azure and IaC practices like Terraform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals and ensure efficient data integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in Data Engineering, including 2–3 years in leadership or technical lead role.
• Proven experience leading data engineering teams and large-scale data platform initiatives.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure Databricks, DBT, Terraform, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT.
• Experience with cloud data migration (AWS to Azure), CI/CD pipelines, Git.
• Strong data architecture, scalability, performance optimization, communication, and leadership skills.

• Experience working in insurance or financial data domains.
