TL;DR

Software Engineer (SaaS/Payroll): Participate in design, development, and implementation of frontend and backend services for payroll SaaS product and integration platform with an accent on payroll processing engines, APIs, and partner integrations. Focus on building scalable microservices, ensuring reliability for time-critical financial workflows, and collaborating across the stack for intuitive user experiences.

Location: Hybrid from Bangkok, Thailand office, with potential travel to Mountain View, CA headquarters.

What you will do

  • Design and develop backend components like payroll/tax processing engines, ledger services, and pay cycle management.
  • Build and maintain services/APIs using Go, C#, or similar, emphasizing maintainability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers on APIs and data models for performant user experiences.
  • Contribute to frontend development for payroll SaaS product, ensuring reliable and accessible features.
  • Implement services for partner platform integrations to speed up customer onboarding.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, participate in code reviews, and deliver features on time with quality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years professional software development experience (internships/projects may count).
  • Bachelor’s in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Go, Python, C#).
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Modern frontend experience (React, Vue, TypeScript).
  • AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, LLMs).
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Helm, Kustomize, Terraform).
  • Kubernetes environments.
