What you will do
- Define and execute the technical and management strategy, including budgets, for existing software products and new initiatives.
- Translate product requirements into Agile delivery plans with clear milestones, timelines, and quality targets.
- Lead architecture, development, testing, release management, capacity planning, and delivery-risk mitigation across multiple engineering teams.
- Strengthen collaboration between Software Development, Software Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Service Delivery, and Product Management.
- Contribute to corporate strategy, organizational development, change management, leadership development, and continuous improvement.
- Attract, develop, and retain engineering talent through hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of software development experience in medical devices or another highly regulated global industry.
- Experience leading software teams delivering products with validated processes, controlled releases, documentation standards, and audit readiness.
- Senior people leadership experience managing organizations of 10+ engineers across multiple levels, disciplines, and technologies.
- Strong understanding of Agile practices in regulated environments, modern software architecture, multi-tenant SaaS, performance, reliability, scalability, data integrity, data modeling, process modeling, and database design.
- Experience managing budgets, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, scope, delivery risks, and compliance risks for complex software portfolios.
