Facilities Engineer (EV Electrical Systems)

Facilities Engineer (EV Electrical Systems): Delivering facilities support to Test Operations team for timely automotive product releases with an accent on safe, efficient operation of test facilities and control systems. Focus on maintaining AVL, ABB, Horiba equipment, problem-solving control issues, and supporting multiple sites including Whitley, Gaydon, and Ansty Park.

Location: Whitley (Coventry area), onsite with potential support for other UK sites. Applicants must have proof of immediate, ongoing UK work eligibility and ability to travel within the UK. Full UK driving license required.

Up to £29.72 per hour (inside IR35 Umbrella)

What you will do

• Provide cross-functional support to Test Operations within Engineering Operations for product cycle plans.
• Ensure safe, smooth, efficient operation of EO Test Facilities used in product development.
• Demonstrate safe working practices in line with Destination Zero policies.
• Support EO activities under EO-10026, potentially across sites like Gaydon, Ansty Park, and Lyons Park.
• Handle overtime as needed, including weekends.

Requirements

• Level 4 qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience with facilities, processes, equipment, and leading test technologies (AVL, ABB, Horiba).
• Technical expertise in test facilities and control systems, including problem-solving.
• Knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments, COSHH, SDS.
• Full UK driving license and computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Clear communicator with proactive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions.
