Principal Game Economist (Gamedev): Lead economic strategy and systems design across multiple studios supporting various F2P games with an accent on cross-studio collaboration, predictive modeling, and mentoring embedded teams. Focus on diagnosing economic health, designing pricing and reward systems, running simulations and A/B tests, and building sustainable monetization frameworks.

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain (office at least 2 days per week)

What you will do

• Drive cross-studio economic strategy by owning design phases for targeted projects, identifying gaps, and implementing solutions to boost engagement and performance.
• Collaborate with Lead Economist and Director of Economy to align portfolio-wide strategies and ensure consistent design standards.
• Mentor game-level economy designers and PMs through influence, training on advanced frameworks for long-term ownership.
• Build predictive models, run simulations, and design A/B tests to validate economic decisions and forecast feature impacts.
• Bridge cross-functional efforts with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers across teams and geographies for seamless execution.

Requirements

• Based in Barcelona, Spain for hybrid work (office 2+ days/week)
• Bachelor's or Master's in Economics, Math, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Proven track record designing and optimizing complex game economies at senior/lead level.
• Advanced analytical skills with mastery of Excel; SQL, R, or Python advantageous.
• Experience in matrix leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and upskilling teams without direct reports.
• Deep understanding of Free-to-Play mechanics and balancing player experience with monetization.
