SRE Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

TL;DR

SRE Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure): Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure supporting over 200 services in GCP/GKE with an accent on high availability, scalability, and SRE/DevOps best practices. Focus on service ownership for developers, infrastructure evolution, embedded DevOps integration, innovation through PoCs, automation of CI/CD pipelines, reliability metrics, and on-call support.

What you will do

• Act as primary point of contact for developers, handling service queries and SRE tasks.
• Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure for high availability and scalability.
• Integrate SRE/DevOps practices into development lifecycle from architecture to deployment.
• Research, develop, and implement new infrastructure tools and conduct PoCs.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows with the Automation team.
• Develop quality metrics (SLIs/SLOs), maintain documentation, and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years as SRE/DevOps Engineer.
• Proven experience with containerization and orchestration, Kubernetes (must), GKE preferred.
• Knowledge of SRE/DevOps methodologies: CI/CD, IaC, gitOps.
• Experience with gitOps tools, FluxCD preferred.
• Experience in cloud infrastructures, GCP preferred.
• Administering and tuning databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse.
• Deployment and maintenance of distributed high-load systems and fault-tolerance mechanisms.
• Configuration of monitoring: Grafana, VictoriaMetrics preferred.
• Good scripting skills: bash/python preferred.

Nice to have

• Logging/tracing: OpenTelemetry stack, VictoriaLogs, Grafana Loki/Tempo.
• Maintaining and scaling Elasticsearch.
• Message brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• GitlabCI, complex Helm charts.
• Migrating apps to Kubernetes, Linux OS processes, security in containers.
