TL;DR

M&A Associate: Support execution of strategic M&As and corporate development priorities with an accent on sourcing acquisition targets, transaction execution, and financial valuation. Focus on developing financial models, conducting due diligence, analyzing synergies, and managing post-merger integrations.

Location: Based in Copenhagen (HQ), hybrid, some travel expected.

What you will do

  • Support strategic planning and sourcing by researching targets, building pipelines, and developing stakeholder relationships.
  • Execute M&A transactions including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation.
  • Prepare business cases and financial analyses for senior management and manage external advisors.
  • Analyze strategic alternatives like buy vs. build and conduct synergy assessments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry M&A activity.
  • Develop and execute post-merger integration plans with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field.
  • 2-5 years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related, with proven M&A experience.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management for multiple complex projects.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
  • High integrity and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
