Composer/Sound Designer (iGaming): Bring slot machine games to life by composing music, creating sound effects, and recording voiceovers or instruments with an accent on high-quality audio for land-based gaming cabinets. Focus on implementing audio assets via middleware like FMOD, balancing sounds for field use, and collaborating iteratively with game designers and engineers.
Hybrid onsite in Chicago, IL studio (3 days a week in office required).

What you will do
- Compose, produce, and mix music for slot games in specified styles or genres.
- Create custom sound effects using DAWs and SFX libraries.
- Record and edit Foley, voiceovers, or instruments as needed.
- Balance final game sounds on cabinets for field deployment.
- Implement audio assets using FMOD or similar middleware.
- Collaborate with game designers and developers in iterative processes, maintaining organized files and archives.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Music or Audio Engineering (or 4+ years professional experience in MIDI sequencing, digital audio, recording/editing with DAW).
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in music/audio production.
- Proficiency in Pro Tools, Logic Pro or comparable DAW with advanced techniques.
- Strong skills in sound effects creation/editing using libraries, synths, and processing.
- Expertise in mixing/production (EQ, compression, reverb, delay, spatial audio).
- Understanding of audio interfaces, signal flow, troubleshooting; team collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Ability to play instruments, read/write music.
- Comfort in Mac/Windows environments.
- Familiarity with FMOD Studio or other interactive audio middleware.
- Experience with coding languages.
