What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow the VFX craft in Singapore, ensuring it serves as a center of excellence.
• Own the full lifecycle management of VFX team members.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to partner studios to ensure all VFX work meets the project’s bar for readability and clarity.
• Collaborate with the Associate Art Director, art discipline leads, and Production teams in Singapore and Los Angeles to maintain consistency in workflow, and quality expectations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, openness, and continuous learning with partner studios, ensuring alignment with Riot’s values and player-first mindset.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience creating visual effects for games, film, or real-time content.
• 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role providing feedback, mentorship, and direction to VFX artists.
• Deep mastery of VFX fundamentals—timing, color, composition, motion, and readability.
• Experience with game engines (Unreal, Unity, or proprietary) and VFX toolchains.
• Proven experience collaborating with and managing partner studios or external VFX teams.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Experience working on AAA titles.
• Familiarity with modern VFX tools and systems.
• Experience improving workflows or optimizing real-time performance.
• Multilingual communication skills (e.g., Mandarin).
