What you will do

• Drive early-stage design exploration through sketches, 3D studies, and prototypes to shape program direction.
• Refine 3D forms and surfaces in CAD to achieve best-in-class proportions, usability, and aesthetics.
• Implement DFM/DFA principles to ensure a seamless transition from design to mass production, resolving tooling and assembly challenges.
• Research new materials, processes, and surface treatments to advance global design R&D capabilities.
• Collaborate with Global ID, CMF, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align design vision with business goals.
• Mentor junior designers and represent the Industrial Design team in supplier reviews to protect design quality.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
• 8+ years of professional experience in Industrial Design with a proven track record of taking products to mass production.
• Exceptional skills in sketching, CAD modeling (Rhino, SolidWorks), and surfacing refinement.
• Deep knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing processes for plastics, metals, glass, and soft goods.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• Flexibility for domestic and international travel.
