What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of features from design and coding to deployment and impact measurement.
• Architect scalable systems, data models, and sophisticated backend solutions with an emphasis on performance and maintainability.
• Define and uphold engineering excellence standards, including CI/CD optimizations and testing strategies.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate complex technical ideas across multiple teams.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and conduct thoughtful code and design reviews.
• Proactively manage technical debt and define operational metrics like SLOs to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Must be able to work from the Barcelona office 3 days per week.
• English proficiency required for the official office language.
• Deep experience in architecting scalable systems and defining engineering standards across the full stack.
• Strong background in frontend architecture patterns and backend solutions (API versioning, caching).
• Proven ability to lead cross-team technical deliverables and influence product roadmaps.
• Operational maturity with SRE practices, observability tools, and security risk management.
