Group Leader, QA (Aviation)

TL;DR

Group Leader, QA (Aviation/Compliance): Ensuring compliance with ISO and airworthiness standards for aircraft fleets with an accent on QEHS management systems and regulatory adherence. Focus on leading a multidisciplinary QA team, driving sustainable process improvements, and managing internal and external audits.

Location: Must be based in Moose Jaw, Canada (On-site 5 days per week)

What you will do

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary Quality Assurance team, including QA Specialists and HSE experts.
• Ensure strict compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and DTAES airworthiness requirements.
• Implement, evaluate, and continuously improve the integrated Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) Management System.
• Plan and execute internal and external audits and inspections, including scheduling and follow-up actions.
• Lead root cause analysis activities and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs aligned with local, regional, and global objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality, HSE, or Compliance, preferably in aviation, manufacturing, or defense.
• Proven people leadership experience managing professionals and overseeing performance.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
• Eligibility to work in Canada as a Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work permit holder.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods and Government of Canada NATO SECRET security clearance.

Nice to have

• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, 14001, and/or 45001.
• Experience with CANEA.
• Deep knowledge of Canadian regulatory requirements and DTAES airworthiness standards.
• Experience supporting large-scale program ramp-ups or new aircraft introductions.
