Technical Sound Design Intern (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Technical Sound Design Intern (Game Audio): Implementing sound logic and designing systems within the Decima engine to enhance game audio performance and iteration speed. Focus on bridging creative sound design with technical implementation and solving complex audio systemic challenges.

Location: On-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Must be currently enrolled in a Dutch school and be within commuting distance from the studio.

What you will do

• Implement sound logic using the Decima engine.
• Design and implement systems to support specific game features.
• Collaborate with sound design, music, and dialogue teams to create high-performance assets and workflows.
• Explore both creative and technical aspects of game audio technology within a professional production environment.
• Learn from experienced colleagues across various audio sub-teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Dutch school within a relevant field of study.
• Able to work on-site in the Amsterdam studio.
• Available for an internship during the second half of 2026.
• Experience with game engines and DSP tools such as Max/MSP, Pure Data, or SuperCollider.
• Interest in programming languages such as Python and C++.
