What you will do

• Design and evolve an analytical data platform processing billions of GPS coordinates and device telemetry signals.
• Build self-service tools, including data catalogs and lineage, to improve data discoverability and trust.
• Lead data governance and quality initiatives using metadata management tools and frameworks.
• Take full ownership of AWS data infrastructure using Lambda, Glue, Airflow, Redshift, and dbt.
• Ship reliable data products through established coding standards, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and cost-optimization strategies for proactive infrastructure management.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and operating large-scale data platforms and pipelines.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, Git workflows, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, subnets, and routing.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Experience with cloud data analytics stacks (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Cloudformation).
• Valid Austrian work permit and very good English proficiency.
