TL;DR

Machine Learning Scientist II (AI): Building, training, and deploying machine learning models using causal inference, uplift modelling, and optimization with an accent on recommender systems, NLP, and GenAI. What you will do

• Apply state-of-the-art techniques in multimodal machine learning to drive business impact.
• Train innovative ML models and build clean, scalable, and reusable frameworks.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to evaluate model performance, label quality, and feature exploration.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to ensure model latency and throughput meet product requirements.
• Partner with product managers and analysts to translate business requirements into technical ML solutions.
• Engage in applied research to understand, test, and evolve new models.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience applying Machine Learning to business problems.
• Masters degree, PhD, or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, AI, Physics, Mathematics).
• Advanced experience designing and executing end-to-end R&D plans for large-scale ML models.
• Strong working knowledge of Python, Java, Kafka, Hadoop, SQL, and Spark.
• Must be currently based in the Netherlands.
• Excellent English communication skills (C1+).

Nice to have

• Experience with Recommender systems and ranking.
• Expertise in NLP, LLM, and GenAI-based systems.
• Knowledge of Computer Vision or Deep Learning.
• Experience with Reinforcement Learning and multi-armed bandits.
