Software Engineer II with Accounting Experience (Chile)

Location: Remote in Chile

Salary: $2,800–$6,000 gross per month in USD

What you will do

• Design, develop, install, and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
• Develop new features as part of the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial software systems.
• Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Provide software-system support and consulting while ensuring compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Understanding of financial operations, including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with backend API development and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodologies, and release processes.
• Experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is also required.
