TL;DR

Senior Security Engineer (AI): Building next-generation automated defense systems for a global financial platform with an accent on AI-driven vulnerability management and self-scaling security. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Menlo Park, CA (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office)

Salary: $146,000 - $220,000 USD (based on compensation zone)

What you will do

  • Define and drive the multi-year roadmap for Risk-Based Vulnerability Management.
  • Architect and deploy AI agents for automated triage and production-ready remediation.
  • Build systems correlating vulnerabilities with infrastructure topology in Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Develop CI/CD guardrails and "paved roads" to prevent vulnerabilities before production.
  • Lead technical response to high-impact zero-day exploits through rapid blast-radius analysis.
  • Translate complex security signals into actionable insights for engineering leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Security Engineering with leadership experience in high-impact initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT) for security.
  • Proficiency in Go or Python and a history of building scalable, API-driven security tools.
  • Deep knowledge of securing AWS and Kubernetes architectures.
  • Strong background in vulnerability exploitability and modern risk frameworks (CVSS, EPSS).
  • Ability to work onsite in Menlo Park, CA at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience navigating security in highly regulated fintech environments.
  • Previous implementation of "Security as Code" within large-scale CI/CD pipelines.
