What you will do

• Lead and support a high-performing team of engineers and ML scientists building AI infrastructure.
• Contribute directly to production code and perform architectural work to maintain a deep technical understanding.
• Plan and deliver high-impact roadmaps in partnership with senior engineering staff.
• Improve developer experience across the AI infrastructure stack, focusing on observability and scalability.
• Enable team members to act with agency and maximize their technical impact.
• Scope out and own additional platform domains as the organization and AI initiatives expand.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams within infrastructure or platform domains.
• Strong background as a software engineer with significant technical judgment.
• Ability to coach senior engineers through complex architectural trade-offs.
• Adaptable leadership style suitable for a rapidly growing and evolving team.
• Genuine curiosity for AI and enthusiasm for learning how ML systems operate in production.

Nice to have

• Recent hands-on coding experience or open-source contributions.
• History of alternating between Engineering Manager and individual contributor roles.
• Prior experience building or operating AI-powered products and platforms.
