What you will do

• Maintain accurate personnel records, documentation, and HR systems for the Croatian office.
• Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and payroll input coordination.
• Ensure strict compliance with Croatian labor laws and internal company policies.
• Support global HR operations and managers across multiple jurisdictions including Africa and APAC.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements using automation and AI tools.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and resolution.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Generalist roles.
• Strong knowledge of Croatian labor regulation and employment documentation.
• Must be based in Zagreb and available for on-site office work.
• Experience coordinating payroll and working with external legal or EOR providers.
• Proven ability to manage HR processes in a distributed or international environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Experience in scale-ups or multi-country HR operations.
• Familiarity with equity compensation structures like ESOPs.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve HR workflows.
