Devops Engineer

TL;DR

Devops Engineer: Supporting an SEC program, working on the CI/CD platform that underpins agency-wide software delivery and cloud operations with an accent on incident response, capacity planning, and infrastructure management. Focus on automating compliance processes through OSCAL integration and ATO evidence collection, and exploring AI/ML tooling for vulnerability prioritization and automated code review.

Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Certain roles may also require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance.

Salary: $110,000 – $145,000

What you will do

• Engineer, stabilize, and monitor the CI/CD platform, including incident response, capacity planning, and infrastructure management.
• Design and standardize pipelines using GitHub Actions, integrating build tools, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.
• Integrate CI/CD systems with agency tools including GitHub, Nexus/Artifactory, and ServiceNow.
• Manage AWS infrastructure (ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS Fargate) and build IaC using CloudFormation and/or CDK.
• Enhance DevSecOps capabilities including SBOM generation, SCA, dependency vulnerability management, and IaC scanning.
• Automate compliance processes through OSCAL integration and ATO evidence collection.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AWS services and CI/CD pipeline engineering.
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions, CloudFormation and/or CDK.
• Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS Fargate.
• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with OSCAL, RMF, and ATO processes.
• Experience with software supply chain security — SBOM, SCA, dependency scanning.

Nice to have

• SEC or federal agency experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working remotely with strong async communication habits.
