What you will do

• Design and enhance scalable data pipelines and automation for machine learning models.
• Analyze large-scale market data to understand characteristics and propose technical solutions.
• Develop strategies for data collection, labeling, and handling for complex machine learning tasks.
• Collaborate with university researchers to bridge advanced academic research with real-world impact.
• Present research and technical results both internally and externally to support the e-commerce ecosystem.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in data science, including deep learning and mathematical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python stack (numpy, scipy, scikit, pandas) and database management.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP and development tools like Git.
• English proficiency: CEFR B2 level.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in data science or related fields.
• Experience analyzing petabyte-level databases.
• Experience building large-scale datasets.
• Japanese proficiency: CEFR B2 level.
