TL;DR

Software Engineer Internship (AI): Developing features for hirify.global's flea market app, Merpay's payment service, and Mercoin's blockchain service with an accent on improving user experience and specifications. Focus on tangible outputs and contributing to business growth and solving social issues.

Location: Must be able to stay in Japan, as the internship must be from within Japan. Visa support and accommodation arrangements will be provided for those who live overseas. Office: Remote or Roppongi, Japan.

What you will do

  • Work on projects aimed at improving the user experience (UX) and specifications from the customer's perspective for hirify.global, Merpay, and Mercoin.
  • Engage with technology and data firsthand and produce tangible outputs.
  • Present your work and actual results at a final report meeting.

Requirements

  • Students aged 16 or older who are expected to join the hirify.global Group as new graduates in October 2027 or April 2028.
  • Interest in joining the hirify.global Group as a software engineer after completing the internship.
  • Possessing one of the following 5 "BOLD" characteristics: Ability to inspire and mobilize others, Insatiable intellectual curiosity, Co-creation with AI.
  • Basic knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
  • Practical or research-level development experience in at least one of the following: Frontend, Mobile (iOS or Android), Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Data Engineer, Security Engineer.

Nice to have

  • Experience in delivering results through projects utilizing the latest AI technologies and tools.
  • Experience producing tangible results in a business setting, such as through internships or entrepreneurship.
  • Experience with project management and/or team leadership.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented software development, networking, and memory management.
  • Knowledge in software test including unit testing, functional testing, and e2e testing.
