What you will do

• Develop and improve core product features for the Merpay platform, including identity verification and bank integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA/Test engineers in an agile team environment.
• Create prototypes and proofs of concept (POCs) for new iOS-related technologies.
• Focus on improving code quality, testing, automation, and overall developer experience.
• Engage in AI-native development by properly validating outputs and ensuring high standards of security and privacy.

Requirements

• Language: Proficiency in either Japanese (CEFR B2) or English (CEFR B2) is required.
• Proven experience developing native iOS applications using Swift.
• Experience working in a team-based development environment with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong interest in financial services and the fintech domain.
• Capability to navigate both iOS platform constraints and complex business requirements.
• Willingness to work across adjacent domains like Android, backend, or product management as needed.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of UI development using SwiftUI.
• Hands-on experience with the Bazel build system.
• Experience in Fintech or KYC domains.
• Background in development process automation and performance optimization.
• Contributions to OSS, technical blogging, or public speaking at conferences.
