What you will do

• Develop and optimize features for high-traffic mobile applications for News UK brands.
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor other engineers to maintain engineering excellence and coding standards.
• Participate in technical discussions and strategy implementation.
• Perform thorough code reviews focusing on quality, security, and performance.

Requirements

• Must be based in Bulgaria.
• Solid commercial app development experience with Kotlin.
• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture patterns like MVVM.
• Strong understanding of SOLID design principles.
• Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and UI automation (Espresso).
• Familiarity with reactive programming (RxJava, Coroutines/Flow) and Gradle.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with CircleCI for Continuous Integration.
