What you will do

• Lead and scale the software testing team by overseeing recruitment, organizational design, and technical staffing.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and automated frameworks for cloud-native applications.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance teams to ensure software validation processes meet strict regulatory standards.
• Coordinate testing efforts across engineering, product, and systems integration teams to ensure high-quality production releases.
• Establish unified principles for software quality and provide mentorship and performance coaching for direct reports.
• Drive the vision for the Software Testing Lifecycle, addressing technical gaps and delivering resilient test tooling.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality, with a track record of successful test automation.
• 3+ years of management experience in highly regulated industries like healthcare or medical devices.
• Expertise in testing both backend and frontend cloud-based software.
• Proven ability to establish quality strategies and metrics within an Agile environment.

Nice to have

• Domain experience in Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or clinical interoperability (FHIR, HL7v2).
• Expertise in V&V for high-governance industries (HIPAA, SOC2, CLIA).
• Experience with container management tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Pulumi.
• Background in risk management and resource planning within startup environments.
