Verification Engineer Intern (Embedded)

Verification Engineer Intern (Embedded): Verifying custom-developed System on Chip (SoC) for Spectacles AR glasses with an accent on product quality, reliability, and state-of-the-art verification practices. Focus on building and implementing advanced test methodologies, regression automation, and exploring KPI metrics within the Wearables Compute Group.

Location: Must be based in Eindhoven (Onsite 4+ days per week)

What you will do

• Verify custom System on Chip (SoC) designs to ensure high product quality.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art verification practices including AI-driven tests.
• Develop regression automation and explore KPIs for improved SoC verification.
• Partner with mentors and cross-functional teams on internship-specific technical projects.
• Acquire and apply new skills in hardware verification and ASIC design methodologies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BS/MS program in computer science or electrical engineering, graduating no earlier than December 2026.
• Must be able to start in office in Eindhoven in Q2 of 2026 for a 13-week internship.
• Strong computer science or electrical engineering fundamentals with a focus on ASIC design or verification.
• Ability to read and understand RTL code (SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM and SystemVerilog.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like C, Python.
• Familiarity with EDA vendor tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor).
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools like Claude or Cursor.
