What you will do

• Modernize legacy backend systems for compatibility with a modern technology stack.
• Design and build robust, scalable, and extensible web services and applications.
• Write maintainable clean code while adhering to engineering best practices.
• Validate solutions through comprehensive automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize solutions and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other engineers on system design and conduct thorough code reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based in the LATAM region
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js with Express for REST API development.
• Proven experience writing and debugging complex PostgreSQL queries.
• Solid understanding of async/event-driven patterns and debugging distributed systems.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks, specifically Jest.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kafka, Svix, or Temporal.
• Experience with React, GraphQL, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like CircleCI or Spinnaker.
