What you will do

• Oversee client money lock-up calculations, custody asset segregation, and balance analysis.
• Manage the investigation, reporting, and root cause identification of operational process exceptions.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Engineering to ensure adherence to Asia regulatory rules.
• Drive programs for regulatory rule changes and new business implementation.
• Liaise with external auditors and submit deliverables to support compliance.
• Review operational processes to identify touchpoints and improve control frameworks.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the banking industry with knowledge of Asia regulations.
• Japanese language proficiency is required for this role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate issues across a broad range of stakeholders.
• Expertise in Japan and Australia regulatory requirements.
• Proven supervisory and project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
