Senior Software Developer (Mobile/RE)

Senior Software Developer (Mobile/RE): Part of a software research and development team focusing on mobile device forensic analysis including mobile device reverse engineering with an accent on designing, developing, testing, and integrating software features. Focus on applying robust software engineering and database practices to address complex technical challenges, ensuring the delivery of reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Location: Hybrid (mostly remote, with up to two days per week on-site with our customer in Lorton, VA). Remote status is subject to change at the customer’s direction, but is expected to continue.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and integrate software features as a member of a geographically dispersed team.
• Apply robust software engineering and database practices to address complex technical challenges.
• Ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Interface directly with data architects and software developers to ensure that the data model is able to capture the use cases that the software systems are responsible for.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, or related discipline.
• Minimum of six years of experience as a Software Developer.
• Proficient with Python, Java, C, C++ JavaScript, and other programming languages.
• Expertise in source control management with Git.
• Deep understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.
• This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access with a CI polygraph.

Nice to have

• C, C++ programming language.
• Rust programming language.
• Knowledge of common mobile architectures and their associated instructions, including x86 and ARM.
• OS Level expertise in Linux (or similar).
