What you will do

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team to build a high-performance culture.
• Own the technical architecture, ensuring systems are scalable and maintainable for long-term live service.
• Champion engineering workflows that prioritize rapid iteration, testing, and deployment.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Art teams to align engineering output with business goals.
• Define best practices for code quality, performance, and observability across the game portfolio.
• Make critical build-vs-buy decisions and integrate shared platform tools to accelerate development.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Director or equivalent lead role in mobile free-to-play or live service titles.
• Strong technical expertise in Unity and mobile game development.
• Experience managing and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to translate technical strategy for non-technical stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of the free-to-play business model, monetization systems, and data-driven iteration.
• Must be based in Portugal as this role is remote within this specific region.
