What you will do

• Design engaging features and systems for existing and new game modes, including multiplayer, challenges, and social systems.
• Translate gameplay data and community feedback into actionable design plans for live game roadmaps.
• Create rigorous technical specifications to guide engineering and UI/UX teams through implementation.
• Champion game quality via prototyping, playtesting, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to tune game balance and support QA test planning.
• Present design proposals to senior stakeholders and production leads.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in London, UK (Hybrid)
• Proven experience as a systems-driven game designer in the simulation or management genre.
• Strong grasp of online service principles, including retention loops and player lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with modern game engines like Unity and data tools such as Excel.
• Ability to translate engagement data into clear, actionable updates.
• Strong communication skills to effectively bridge design with technical and creative teams.

Nice to have

• Background in computer science, game design, or related fields.
• Passion for football and deep knowledge of the Football Manager series.
• Experience with live-service game development and balancing complex simulation systems.
