What you will do

• Architect and productionize batch and real-time data systems to support product and business needs.
• Ensure stability and performance of systems through robust monitoring and quality practices.
• Design and optimize complex data models for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, and ML teams to align on requirements.
• Tune and optimize data systems and ML models to enhance effectiveness.
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical roadmaps and data engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Must reside in a US state where hirify.global has a registered entity.
• 9+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor's/Master's degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Extensive experience with distributed data platforms such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, or HBase.
• Strong expertise in Java, Scala, or Python, and advanced SQL proficiency.
• Proven ability to design and scale petabyte-level data pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and technical leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating machine learning models into production data systems.
• Strong background in data modeling and warehousing with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or Redshift.
