Senior Applied Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Lead research, design, and development of AI technologies for personalization.
• Invent, adopt, and evaluate machine-learning and analytical techniques for recommendations and large language models.
• Build and launch large-scale systems that deliver personalized content recommendations and explanations.
• Experiment with and launch new features, products, and machine-learning systems.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product partners locally and internationally.

Requirements

• PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of applied research experience after completing a PhD, including building and launching deep-learning or machine-learning models for business applications.
• Strong foundations in computer science, including data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent coding and system-design skills with proficiency in Java or Python.
• Several publications in top-tier peer-reviewed research conferences or journals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with information retrieval, recommender systems, or personalization algorithms.
• Publications at leading recommender systems, machine-learning, or natural-language-processing conferences.
• Experience defining research and development practices in an applied science environment.
• Service as a program committee member for top-tier conferences.
