What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain large-scale indexing systems and data pipelines.
• Build ingestion workflows for both internal and external web-scale data sources.
• Develop and optimize indexing strategies to improve data freshness and system performance.
• Manage storage formats, compaction strategies, and complex data update mechanisms.
• Define observability primitives including logs, metrics, and data quality signals.
• Collaborate with runtime and ML teams to support advanced retrieval and ranking requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade backend or data systems.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with high-load systems handling 10k+ RPS or 10+ GiB/sec throughput.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and failure modes.
• Practical experience operating systems in production environments.
• Ability to work effectively across infrastructure, ML, and product teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Beam.
• Background in content systems, web crawling, or anti-bot infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ad tech or large-scale social network architecture.
• Participation in competitive programming (ICPC, IOI) or advanced technical training programs like SHAD.
