Software Infrastructure Engineer
IQM is a global leader in the design, construction, and sale of superconducting quantum computers. IQM provides on-premises and hosted full-stack quantum computers to customers all over the world. IQM's customers include leading high-performance computing centers, research laboratories, universities, and enterprises, all of which have full access to IQM's software and hardware. IQM employs over 300 people and has offices in Finland, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Singapore, and the United States.

Are you ready to be part of something groundbreaking? At IQM, we're at the forefront of the next technological frontier, and we're looking for a Software Infrastructure engineer.
In order to use quantum computer hardware, we need a server to manage communications between users and the quantum computer. IQM has a state-of-the-art QPU (quantum processing unit), and we need Software Infrastructure engineers to ensure our software meets our customers' requirements. As a Software Infrastructure engineer, you will plan and solve tasks related to building, improving, and monitoring our CI/CD tools as a valued member of the DevOps team. You will succeed in this role if you have experience with modern CI/CD tools and practices, and a willingness to share and learn.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO POSSESSES MOST OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
* Solid experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (we use GitLab CI).
* Good understanding of Linux operating systems
* Experience with programming and scripting languages, such as Python and Bash
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or Ansible, is a plus.
* Proficient knowledge of container building and orchestration tools such as Docker and Docker Compose. Kubernetes knowledge is a plus, but not a technology we utilize in this role
* Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
* Understanding of release management principles
* Knowledge of and interest in software security and controls.
Note: We do not expect experience in the field or familiarity with quantum computer infrastructure.
We expect a minimum of five years of experience working as a Software Infrastructure engineer or DevOps.
