Quality Assurance Specialist

TL;DR

Quality Assurance Specialist: Responsible for ensuring quality assurance standards and client satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle with an accent on functional, smoke, regression, and exploratory testing. Focus on bug tracking and management, working closely with the QA Lead, developers, designers, and project managers.

Location: San Jose, Costa Rica. Must work from an office a minimum of 3 days a week.

What you will do

• Be co-responsible for the quality of projects based on the requirements and design specifications.
• Monitor the quality of projects based on the requirements and design specifications.
• Communicate test results, issues, and risks found to project team members, project managers, and QA management through the various channels.
• Identify test data, create and maintain comprehensive test plans, write and maintain test cases/scripts.
• Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution.

Requirements

• Experience performing different king of testing: Functional Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Exploratory Testing, API testing.
• Strong capability to track, report, and manage bugs throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ability to collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and defects.
• A proactive mindset to take ownership of the QA process and deliverables for your project.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ideally English Proficiency (B2 reading, writing, and conversation).
