Cg Supervisor (VFX)

TL;DR

Cg Supervisor (VFX): Responsible for upholding technical standards across all assets and delivered shots, ensuring alignment with the client’s creative vision. Focus on directing project work across departments, managing technical artists’ needs, and conducting final quality control reviews.

Location: This role is available at either our Barcelona or London Studio.

What you will do

• Collaborate with VFX Supervisors and production leadership to define and implement technical and creative solutions.
• Develop and oversee production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of assets and sequences.
• Work with department leads and pipeline developers to refine workflows and ensure seamless integration across departments.
• Mentor team members, fostering their technical and artistic growth through regular feedback and guidance.
• Spot-check individual artists’ work, providing detailed feedback to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges, escalating issues as necessary to keep projects on track.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a CG Supervisor or similar role within the VFX industry.
• Demonstrable expertise in industry-standard software, including Houdini, Maya, Nuke, and Arnold.
• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience across the majority of 3D disciplines.
• Deep expertise in VFX production pipelines and workflows.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
