Observability Engineer (Datadog): Evolving and scaling enterprise-grade observability platforms across logs, metrics, and traces with an accent on automation and operational reliability. Focus on integrating telemetry into cloud infrastructure, driving CI/CD pipelines, and enabling self-service monitoring solutions for engineering teams.
Location: Must be based in Vilnius, Lithuania. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the office.
Salary: 5,100 – 5,600 EUR gross per month.

What you will do
- Own and evolve the Datadog observability platform, covering logs, metrics, APM, and security.
- Define and implement standardized observability practices for dashboards, alerting, and logging.
- Embed observability and telemetry quality into cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with SRE, security, and operations teams to improve service reliability and incident response.
- Enable self-service observability through documentation, automated reporting, and executive visibility.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Datadog tools, including logs, metrics, and APM.
- Solid understanding of observability principles, SLOs, and distributed tracing.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and integration tasks.
- Practical experience with AWS and Azure monitoring services.
- Experience with DevOps tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform.
- Must be able to work from the Vilnius office at least 3 days a week.
Nice to have
- Experience operating observability at scale in complex environments.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container-based observability patterns.
- Background in SRE, production operations, or performance engineering.
