Observability Engineer (Datadog)

Location: Must be based in Vilnius, Lithuania. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the office.

Salary: 5,100 – 5,600 EUR gross per month.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the Datadog observability platform, covering logs, metrics, APM, and security.
• Define and implement standardized observability practices for dashboards, alerting, and logging.
• Embed observability and telemetry quality into cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with SRE, security, and operations teams to improve service reliability and incident response.
• Enable self-service observability through documentation, automated reporting, and executive visibility.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Datadog tools, including logs, metrics, and APM.
• Solid understanding of observability principles, SLOs, and distributed tracing.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and integration tasks.
• Practical experience with AWS and Azure monitoring services.
• Experience with DevOps tooling and Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform.
• Must be able to work from the Vilnius office at least 3 days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience operating observability at scale in complex environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container-based observability patterns.
• Background in SRE, production operations, or performance engineering.
