TL;DR
Associate Capital Analyst (Finance): Leading and supporting the capital team in executing capital modeling and management activities for Corporation and its regulated insurance entities with an accent on driving improvements in talent, processes, and tools that support capital allocation decisions. Location: Onsite in Richmond, VA

What you will do
- Support the capital team in preparing quarterly Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR) outputs for insurance entities.
- Participate in the ongoing update of UW target setting models used in capital allocation across insurance.
- Maintain proper data flows from key data providers to the capital models.
- Facilitate the update of insurance and global return on capital analysis models used to evaluate company performance.
- Partner with the FP&A team and financial planning capital manager to properly input business plans into the capital models and reconcile results.
- Support corporate goals and principles and communicating those to members of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a numeric discipline such as finance, accounting, actuarial.
- Analytical curiosity with a business-oriented mindset.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL is desired
- Strong relationship building skills with a thoughtful, constructive challenge mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Nice to have
- Graduate degree is a plus, but not required.
- CPA, CFA, or another financial certification is a plus, but not required.
