What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture for enterprise-scale government IT programs.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into structured solution designs.
• Produce high-quality technical reference architectures and design documents.
• Design cohesive architectures that integrate software applications, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI/ML components.
• Provide technical direction to delivery teams, resolving architecture conflicts.
• Ensure designs comply with government IT standards, including NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and DoD IL2–IL6 requirements.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
• 10+ years of progressive technical experience in IT architecture, software engineering, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years in a lead architect or principal engineer role supporting federal government contracts.
• Demonstrated experience designing complex enterprise systems in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Experience with full-stack development principles, API design (REST/GraphQL), and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Databricks.
• Experience architecting AI-enabled systems, including RAG pipelines, LLM integration, and MLOps lifecycles.
• Experience with data engineering frameworks, including data lakes, streaming pipelines, and Spark-based architectures.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architecture (Professional level) or similar cloud credentials.
• Experience architecting within SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks.
