Spine Animator (Spine 2D)

What you will do

• Animate characters, props, and UI elements using Spine 2D according to project guidelines.
• Collaborate with game designers, developers, and artists to align animations with gameplay and artistic direction.
• Prepare and organize Spine projects for integration with Unity, Phaser, and custom game-engine pipelines.
• Optimize animations for performance across multiple platforms.
• Maintain consistent animation style and participate in animation reviews.
• Provide feedback and support to junior animators.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience as a 2D Animator or Spine Animator in the games industry.
• Solid proficiency with Spine 2D, including rigging, skinning, mesh deformation, and animation blending.
• Good understanding of animation principles such as timing, spacing, squash and stretch, and anticipation.
• Experience preparing assets for game engines, including Unity.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, multidisciplinary team.
• Portfolio demonstrating Spine animation work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Photoshop, After Effects, or other 2D animation tools.
• Basic understanding of Unity or Unreal Engine animation systems and scripting integration.
• Familiarity with PC, console, mobile, or web game pipelines.
