Product Manager (Fintech)

TL;DR

Product Manager (Fintech): Developing a daily updated projected balance sheet by automating multi-entity and multi-currency GL postings with an accent on complex FX logic and consolidation architecture. Focus on building the source-of-truth for financial infrastructure and replacing manual workarounds with system-driven financial logic.

Location: Must be based in Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day from home)

What you will do

• Design logic to convert transactional events into daily General Ledger postings.
• Build capability for the ALM function to view live projected balance sheets for intramonth hedging.
• Manage multi-entity consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and translation adjustments.
• Bridge communication between the Treasury and Accounting departments.
• Audit and replace manual financial reporting processes with automated, scalable system architecture.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP regarding foreign currency translation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Financial Systems, Accounting Technology, or GL management within a financial institution.
• Expertise in managing balance sheets spanning multiple currencies and legal entities.
• Deep knowledge of Chart of Accounts (CoA) and ERP integration with proprietary transactional engines.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/Local GAAP standards and foreign currency translation.
• Proven experience with consolidation logic and automated financial reporting.
• Must be able to work from the Barcelona office on a hybrid schedule.
