Data Scientist Intern (AI)

TL;DR

Data Scientist Intern (AI): Analyzing large-scale datasets to enhance user experience and platform safety with an accent on machine learning, statistical modeling, and A/B experimentation. Focus on developing predictive models and LLMs to solve real-world challenges in human connection.

Location: Must be based in or able to work in Los Angeles, California (Hybrid: 3 days in-office per week)

Salary: $43 per hour (approx. $6,880/month)

What you will do

• Explore and analyze massive datasets to uncover trends and product opportunities.
• Develop and evaluate ML models and LLMs to improve user engagement.
• Design and execute A/B experiments to validate product features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Present project outcomes and data narratives to product and leadership teams.
• Standardize and automate team tools and documentation for experimentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or Applied Math.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Experience or strong familiarity with Python.
• Deep understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning fundamentals.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Availability for the program duration: June 1, 2026 – August 28, 2026.
