Location: Must be based in or able to work from Oakland, California (Hybrid: 3 days in office/week).
Salary: $164,000 - $239,000

What you will do
- Build core customer-facing features including document processing, collaborative review, and search tools.
- Utilize AI technologies such as predictive coding, transfer learning, and LLMs for evidence discovery.
- Collaborate across Product, Design, Security, and DevOps teams to ship production-ready features.
- Scale systems to handle hundreds of millions of documents.
- Provide technical mentorship, perform code reviews, and maintain best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for product issues.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States and able to work on-site in Oakland, CA.
- At least 5 years of experience building distributed systems in the cloud.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Python, C++, Go, etc.) and frontend framework experience.
- At least 1 year of experience leading or coordinating multi-developer efforts.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, relational databases, and API design.
- Experience with AI development tools and a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, Postgres, or vector databases.
- Direct experience with React.
- Applied usage of AI in software development.
