IC Design Engineer (SoC)

Location: Singapore; hybrid work with an office above Tai Seng MRT station

What you will do

• Design digital blocks and define architectures, specifications, interfaces, and partitioning.
• Implement RTL designs for highly integrated mixed-signal SoCs used in low-power MCU and wireless products.
• Integrate digital blocks, IP, mixed-signal IP, and RF IP into SoC infrastructure.
• Develop bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power management, and reset management infrastructure.
• Verify blocks and SoC integration using directed, random, and assertion-based methods, including mixed-signal modeling and co-simulation.
• Develop embedded firmware for SoC integration and validation and prepare reference manual and datasheet content.

Requirements

• PhD or master’s degree in microelectronics, or a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and knowledge of IP development, SoC or ASIC design tools, and methodologies.
• Knowledge of microcontroller embedded processors and Cortex-M-based systems.
• Experience or knowledge in RTL coding, software or firmware coding, low-power implementation, and logic simulation.
• Knowledge of verification, testbench development, performance verification, and scripting with Python, Perl, or Tcl.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• SoC or UVM verification experience.
• Design-for-testability experience with test modes, scan test, ATPG, or MBIST.
