What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Translate product requirements into technical solutions that balance business needs with system scalability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to ship features end-to-end.
• Promote engineering best practices, including TDD, continuous integration, and secure coding.
• Review code, mentor teammates, and provide feedback to drive technical excellence.
• Monitor application performance and resolve bottlenecks or bugs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong grasp of design patterns, RESTful APIs, background jobs, and PostgreSQL.
• Solid experience with unit, integration, and system testing.
• Fluent English language skills required.
• Ability to work within the +0 to +4 UTC time zone.
• Proactive communication style and experience working in distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Frontend development experience with React or TypeScript.
• Exposure to DevOps workflows, infrastructure-as-code, or AWS.
• Experience in high-growth startups or mission-driven environments.
